First of all, if you’re a policy junkie like I am, then you’ll be interested to know that the White House has a blog where various authors discuss the policy initiatives and behind-the-scenes work that goes on in our Executive Branch of government. Topics are as varied as education, taxation and – for our purposes – immigration.

Since our firm’s focus is the business and investment based immigrant and non-immigrant visa, read the following blog entry which talks about a roundtable discussion between the US Chief Technology Officer and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group focusing on “high skilled” employees and immigration. The post also mentions the proposed changes to the EB-5 investment-based permanent residency petition.

And, if you weren’t a policy junkie before, maybe a tour of the White House blog will help you change your tune on the pure enjoyment that comes from following policy matters.
